The subscription feature

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that the subscription feature doesn't seem to be working. I subscribed to a topic which was answered, according to the timestamp, at Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:41 am. Tonight, evening of March 5, I haven't received any notifications.

Not a big deal, as the forum isn't big enough that much has time to happen between each visit. But I thought I'd report it in case it's a bug (and not, say, just slow notification).

It's probably easier to set your defaults so that you receive a notification when a topic is replied to. To do this follow these instructions;

1) Login to the board
2) In your USER control panel go to 'Board Preferences' -> 'Edit posting defaults'
3) Check "Yes" on 'Notify me upon replies by default:'

That should solve it..

Thanks. That works now, as the forum is still small, but if it grows significantly, most people will probably prefer to only receive notifications for the boards they are interested in following, and not be spammed by X notifications a day.

The Subscription feature should now be working OK. If you could verify this by sending me a PM when you can confirm it has worked I would appreciate it.
